EuroParcs: The Ultimate Holiday Destination

Intro

Are you looking for a small get away? A staycation? A nice camping experience without all the hustle? A gate away that you can reach by driving for 3 hours from Amsterdam? EuroParcs might just be what you’re looking for. It is a chain of holiday parks spread across Europe. EuroParcs offers a wide range of accommodation and facilities to suit every taste and budget.

From camping and caravanning to luxury lodges and villas, this place has something to offer for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family holiday, or an adventure-filled break, EuroParcs has got you covered. After spending a full weekend, I will share with you all the things you need to know.

Getting there

The location I stayed at was at Zutendaal in Belgium. The best way to get there is by car. The drive should take approximately 2 hours and 10 mins, but it took over 4 hours due to traffic. It was mostly highway, with plenty of nice stops to stretch your legs and get a snack or a drink. The drive was easy and smooth.

Accommodation

There are several types of accommodations, from basic camping pitches to luxurious lodges and villas. The campsites are equipped with all the necessary amenities, such as showers, toilets, and laundry facilities. If you don’t have a caravan, you can get one of the glamping tents, or lodges. The one I stayed in was a tent that could fit 6 people. Inside, you have everything you need. Nice comfortable beds, full loaded kitchen, toilet, shower, TV, AC/Heater and much more. One the outside and the inside, they look amazing.

Facilities & Activates

EuroParcs has a range of facilities to suit every taste and age group. Most locations are equipped with swimming pools, play areas, sports facilities and restaurants. The Zutemdaal location does not have a pool, but it does have a big nice lake. There’s always something to keep you and your family entertained.
The parks are located outside the cities and close to nature reserves, like lakes. This allows it to offer a range of outdoor activities such as; cycling, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to experience the activities, but I will y try to go back.

Food

Don’t worry about food, you have some options to choose from. You can bring ready food, and store it in the fridge provided inside the glamping tent. You can also do some groceries and cook some nice meals. Or you can try the restaurant. I did try all options. To give you an idea about the restaurant, it actually offers nice tasty options. Here are some photos from the restaurant.

The Glamping Tent

I really enjoyed the tent as it was just comfortable enough. I was looking for a nice camping experience, but I did not have the time nor the effort to prepare for it. This was just perfect. Here are some photos of the tent.

Feedback

Well, what I am about to say next has nothing to do with EuroParcs. As I totally enjoyed my stay over there, there was one thing I really did not like. Since we were staying in a tent, those things are not soundproof. I had a very noisy group in the tent next to us that was pretty loud, and had music till late night. I might sound a bit old and grumpy you say, but this place is supposed to give you a nice getaway from the noisy, loud polluted environment we live in. If you are going there, you need to disconnect a bit from your life and connect with nature, peace and quiet.

Conclusion

EuroParcs offers the ultimate holiday experience for families to couples and friends . With a wide range of locations, accommodation options, facilities, and activities it is a great option for a gate away . So why wait?
